The bookstore boasted a spacious area and a distinctive interior design, with its most striking feature being a custom-made, expansive metal curved ceiling. This ceiling, with its sleek, flowing design, added a modern yet cozy ambiance to the bookstore. The client’s requirements were clear: design a bespoke wall-washng light to ensure uniform and comprehensive illumination across the entire ceiling.

However, the unique structure of the curved metal ceiling posed significant challenges. Its expansive surface and arc-shaped design made it difficult for conventional lighting solutions to achieve uniform illumination.

Undeterred by all the setbacks, our team viewed the challenges as an opportunity for innovation. We held multiple brainstorming sessions, combining expertise in optics, material science, and spatial design to explore potential solutions. After weeks of research and development, along with multiple prototype iterations, we achieved a breakthrough: we reengineered the wall-washing light’s reflector design, transforming it into a specialised “ceiling-washing” light tailored for the curved ceiling.
